FREEDIVING

Freediving is a form of diving in which a diver does not rely on the safety of a take to allow breathing under water. Instead, it relies on the divers ability to hold his or her breath for long periods of time, until resurfacing.

Freedivers usually require slightly different sets of equipment from regular scuba divers. Lower volume dive masks, to minimise reflections and increase vision, and longer dive fins which displace more water and, in turn offer more power are just two examples.

At The Purple Octopus, we offer all the equipment to have you ready to dive head-first into the world of Freediving!
